Amanda Wilson
Amanda Wilson is an artist and educator. Wilson earned her undergraduate degree at Humboldt State University. In 2014 she attended graduate school in her hometown, Portland Oregon. Wilson switches between a variety of paint mediums, including experimental materials. Her work reveals an exploration in texture and body- paint body and the human body- as well as geometry and symbols that unveil psychological landscapes. She has shown at galleries such as Erickson Gallery, Littman and White, and Surplus Space. Wilson has taught a range of ages, from child to adult, over the last ten years, an she currently teaches 2nd grade full time. Additionally, she has hosted many workshops, talks and exhibitions through her affiliations with such institutions as Studio School, Portland State University, Time Arts Collective, Visiting Artist Lecture Series, Synesthesia Festival, Art ala Carte, Oregon Artists School, One River School of Art and Design, and Portland Fine Arts Guild.
